Pastor Whittley is licensed and ordained  and received Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ on May 15, 1999. He was a member of Rock Temple COGIC where he served under the leadership of Bishop Jesse Gold seventeen years.  He served well in the ministry ranks as a Deacon, licensed Minister, Elder, and Adjutant General to the local, state and national Bishops.  In 2006-2007, he also served as Associate Pastor in Tikrit, Iraq .

In September 2012, duty called and the military moved him and his family to Fort Carson, Colorado where he served in the eldership and as a ministry leader at the Christian House of Prayer in Colorado Springs, CO, under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Charles Tedder and First Lady Allison Tedder.  God spoke to Pastor Whittley confirming on several occasions what He’d spoken to him years prior, that He was calling him to begin the ministry.  God further instructed Pastor Whittley to return to Clarksville, TN/Fort Campbell, KY to both retire from the U.S. Army and begin the ministry.  He shared this great news with Pastor Charles and First Lady Allison, who gave their blessing.  It was August 2, 2016 that Christian House of Praise of Middle Tennessee (MiT), also known as “CHOPMIT” was founded.

He holds a Bachelors of Theology from the Williams, Clemons, Davis Bible Institute, is a 2014 graduate of the Sonship School of The Firstborn, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Organizational Development from Bethel University .
