He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you.” (Luke 22:19). What is it that God is asking you to take back, take down, or take in? What is He asking you to give? It might feel as if it’s breaking you, but He breaks us to bless us. Every time we gather at the Lord’s Table to celebrate Communion, we remember that Christ rescued us from slavery to sin and provided us with eternal life. May the rescuing love of Jesus remind us that His cross is worth remembering—together.
